newbie with a question as to compatability
Hi,
I am new at this and started constructing some things last year and built a cool PVC trellis for my cukes, and was wondering as I am going to built boxes on either side of "walls" would planting green beans and cukes in some line be ok? or would they not be good together (I've heard stories about don't plant watermelons and cantaloupes near each other due to cross pollination), Again I am new so sorry for the stupid question. (yeah I let my girls pick the paint from what was in the garage, guys at Lowes thought I was crazy at first, but loved my idea, there is rebar in each of the poles to keep sturdy and I sunk poles a few inches into ground). Its tall enough for me to walk under and I left the end open so I can "add on more" if need be.

Re: newbie with a question as to compatability
Hi again, RedozMom. Glad to see you back again.
Looked at my companion chart and do not see anything about not planting beans & cukes near each other. They are from different families, so you shouldn't have any cross-pollination issues either.
There are NO stupid questions here! Remember, it's all a learning process...
I think the paint colors are great!! It's a super idea to let the kids get involved that way. They're more likely to help you then. (You might want to look under the search area for Table Tops. One of our ladies has them in several bright colors.)
Looks like you're off to a great start!
