Gathering for Norman, OK Square footers

Hello, while I am new to the forum, I am a Cleveland Co. (Norman OK) master gardener and have been caring for a Square foot garden in our demonstration and teaching garden and giving classes for about 7 years. This year we want to host a "meet & greet" for local square foot gardeners. This is planned for Saturday, Feb. 28 at 10:00 a.m. to noon in the classroom at the Norman OSU extention office (601 E. Robinson). Any Square foot gardeners or "wana be Square footers" from the area are welcome, bring pictures, talk about your experience, brag. Hope to reach some locals on the forum who can come & spread the word.

Well, the meeting will be rescheduled but has been cancelled for 2/28. We are rather skitish about snowy weather here and it seemed a good idea to reschedule for later in the year.

I will post it again when I know a new date.

Meanwhile, it is a longer than usual wait for spring planting here in central OK.

Sounds like a fun gathering. I grew up in Stillwater and have fond memories of hot summers by Lake Carl Blackwell.

Ok, I am trying again to get Norman, OK Square Foot Gardeners together. The meeting is rescheduled for April 4 from 11:00 to 12:30. This is intended to be an open meet greet and I hope to see some of the people who have taken the class over the years. Would love to swap tips and see pictures.
