2015 Lower South Jan
Well, the new year is here. I can see a long year ahead of me. More to come later.
I'm out of the country, but get my new seed fixes from the emails that seed companies have been send me. Don't dare order because I can't remember what is hiding in the refrigerator. I'll get home in mid Feb and get some seeds started right away.
What do all of you lower south gardeners anticipate for your 2015 gardens?

Re: 2015 Lower South Jan
I am starting to think about the layout for this year. It's almost time to start seeds and I am going to give it a try instead of buying as many plants. I think I will add another 4 x 8 box. It's an addiction. Tomatoes and field peas both grew well last year. That makes me nervous for this year. I never get the same results two years in a row.
Planning for potatoes, onions, carrots, lettuce, broccoli and maybe cauliflower to go in first. Time to get started drawing a layout, isn't it?

My peas that I planted before thanksgiving finally kicked it with this last cold front. They kept blooming but never produced. My spinach on the other hand hasn't been fazed by the cold. I should have enough soon to start picking for my salad soon.

I can't wait till spring because I think my winter garden took a hit by the extreme cold nights we had about a week ago. I think I still have some spinach and cabbaget but not sure about the rest. On my days off it has been raining and cold and haven't been able to check it good.
