You will love it more when you taste it, I have a large crock pot used mainly for this, it is soooooooo good
I have no idea where the recipe came from, it was my mother in laws that I eventually found.

Hey all!
Just scrolling through some older topics and came across this one.
When I was working I did a lot of slow cooker cooking. Stews, soups, chili, chicken and dumplings, broths for use in other recipes, beans - lots of good stuff.
I just received this recipe. I have not tried it yet because I have to visit the farmer's market to get the free range chicken. The recipe sounds delicious and is in line with a Paleo life style.

G is morbidly obese. He has lost lots of weight on Ideal Protein. The problem is that is a diet and not a life style. He very quickly gained back all of the weight he lost plus some.
I think/hope I have convinced him to try Paleo as a life style alternative instead of a diet.
This recipe is on my "must try soon" list.

Re: Share your winningest slow cooker recipes! (please)
Love my slow cookers... We've got 4. (Broke the 5th a couple of weeks ago..... sigh.....)
We like to make this for our students:
Take a small can of condensed cream of chicken &/or cream of mushroom soup. Add some ground black pepper, garlic, pearl or chopped onions, maybe a can or two of drained mushroom stems & pieces. Mix well. (You could also add other veggies.)
Put a small amount in the bottom of the crockpot. Layer browned pork chops with sauce between layers. Put on high for about 6 hours.
I take the cover off at about hour 4 (or whenever it's bubbling) to start evaporating the liquid from the chops.
It always goes over really well.

Serious comfort food, I use rach747 recipe modifications in the reviews, and 2 cans of mixed veggies because I like veggies in my chicken pot pie! And rach says 90 minutes on the biscuits, but 2 hours is better IMO.
