vermiculite
I am having trouble locating vermiculite. I have called all the local places in GA ( east of Atlanta) where I live. Is there some place that you can order this on the internet and not cost you an arm and leg?
Thanks.
Thanks.

Re: vermiculite
Not really since the shipping is so high. Did you check the vermiculite database? Also, some have found it in the insulation section of hardware/ lumber stores. Apparently Pike's Nursery has 16 locations in the Atlanta area and carries it. If you really can't find it, some have switched to using perlite which is more readily available.

Howdy: The vermiculite DB is continuing to expand. It now has about 369 locations in the U.S. and several sources are in Georgia. Pike Nurseries are listed and they have 16 locations in and around Atlanta. If you could be more specific in your location we may be able to find a source closer to you. Also when you find your vermiculite and if it is not in the database please add it to the DB so that others can benefit.
God Bless, Ward.

I am about 40 miles East of Atlanta in Walton County. Pikes in about 35 miles away from where I live. How do you add to the DB? I am new to the site and SFG.

Re: vermiculite
How different is Perlite than Vermiculite? I called Lowes in the town that I work in and they have it.

Instructions for using the database are located in the 'how to' forum.
