Feel like a Lone Ranger in Upper South
Where are all the Upper South-landers?
While tonight isn't supposed to frost, today is really chilly (mid 50s) and windy- the coldest day of the year since spring. Now, where did I store my sweats?
The garden beds are basically finished for the year and a few potted pepper plants will be making on to our enclosed porch to see if they will survive for a bit. Single paned windows surround the porch and it is NOT weather-proofed so unless I heat the area - nothing will survive after Dec. Such is life for a gardener!
Still have garlic and walking onions to plant and lots of spring flower bulbs - I got too carried away at the nursery - oh dear!
Have enough seeds for next year's garden and will be starting tomato seeds, etc. for the coming garden, probably in March 2015. Have a spare bedroom with east and south exposure windows that will be great for the seedlings when they become too large for my lights.

Re: Feel like a Lone Ranger in Upper South
I haven't planted an SFG in a couple of years now, but I still hang around in the hopes that I'll do so again. You guys are inspiring!
I live in a wonderful area for gardening and I feel guilty wasting the opportunity.

Great to hear from you again Miinva! Hopefully life will slow down a bit for you so you can dig in the SFG a bit more now and then!
