Yes, there are lots of books and have been lots of posts on companion and succession planting. I have a book called Carrots love Tomatoes. You could google companion planting and probably come up with charts and all kinds of info.
I have found that it doesn't really matter much in the SFG.

Wikipedia has a nice entry on it. There are plenty of charts and articles about companion planting on the web.

Carrots Love Tomatoes is a great book! I also found one at the library called Secrets of Companion Planting.
And there IS a LOT of info on the web. I downloaded stuff from Portland Nursery, Ommas Aarden Heirloom Seeds and a few other places.

I don't put a lot of stock in companion planting. I do use trap plants and intersperse garlic and onions throughout my garden.

Camp, Is there anything that you don't plant in the squares next to garlic and onions? I want to disperse garlic and onions squares in different boxes to insure some do well.

not that I can think of. The onions and garlic grow in their own beds.sanderson wrote:Camp, Is there anything that you don't plant in the squares next to garlic and onions? I want to disperse garlic and onions squares in different boxes to insure some do well.
