This seems to be a wonderfully informative site.  All in one place.   It uses USDA, FDA, and CDC as  sources.  Are there other sites you like to use?

Very cool link.

I have to say that I'm one of those who will happily eat pizza that has been left out all night. That may be a fairly standard college breakfast.

I honestly can say that I can add at least a week of refrigerated shelf life to a vegetable by putting it into one of those green bags.  If it is leafy, surround the leaves with paper towels first.  Make sure any produce is dry prior to storing also.

My cucumber plants keep producing more than I can handle at the moment, so I tried some Brawny Essentials pink bags at 10 for $5.00 from Kroger.
Seemed like a lot, but I decided to spring for them and it was worth every penny.
Really keeps things fresh much, much longer and they're supposed to be reusable.
