summer pics
Here are a few pics from the last few days. We've been lucky with early summer cool weather with plenty of rain...but hot and muggy days are ahead.
I've also tried to start cabbage, broccoli, and cauliflower seeds from indoors to get ready for fall garden planting dates (set out plants the first week of August here in the KC area...and that's a bit late compared to the KSU extension recommendations)...I am using grow lights in a cool stone basement as high outdoor temps were making them a bit leggy. It will be a miracle to get baby seedlings through the heat of August and early Sept., however I'm trying not to buy a single bedding plan from nurseries this year.
Carbon tomatoes
View over a portion of the community garden (I have a 25x25 plot with one 4x8 SFG in addition to my SFG boxes at home)
Indigo Apple tomaotes...great color, especially when the bottom ripens to a deep red...I need to taste a few more to decide wether to grow again next year.
Pearly Pink tomaotes...these and Thai Pink Egg have just begun to ripen.

Your produce is gorgeous. If you are not a professional. photographer, it looks like you certainly could if you want.
