Is this safe to use.
Last year I made pickles and had some of the vinegar/brine left over, a pint and half of bread and butter and 2 quarts of kosher dill. I did a hot water bath of the jars and they are still nicely sealed. Can I open these jars, heat the liquid and use it to make pickles this year? Of course I would water bath the pickles according to the canning instructions.

Kay - you canned just the liquid so it should be fine to use for NEW pickles. If you had solid spices in the jars - the liquid might be stronger than last year's start.
But that is the only "problem" I can see.
