Today's Small Harvets
We got a late start this year and only got a spring garden in, and even that was a little late as well. Today my daughter and I went out and picked a few things - not much in the harvest but I see more that will be ready in only a couple of days! It's crazy how excited I get even with such a small harvest... I still have beets and carrots in the ground that look like they are finally coming along. We are going to focus our efforts on a fall garden - plan to plant more beans than I did in the spring one so I can freeze them for the winter. Anytime I pick something, it re-energizes me and gets me back on track with the garden - time to look at the seed catalog for possible additions for the fall!

Good for you. Any harvest is better than none so even a late start can be beneficial.
Glad you got some food for your table.

Nice!
Any harvest greater than zero is good news. Even when there isn't enough for a meal, maybe there's enough for a snack or a supplement. It can be the little things that keep us gardeners going!

I store in a ziplock bag until I get enough of something for a meal. Any harvest, ever so humble, is a good thing.

Thanks for the info Sanderson - should I refrigerate as well?

Re: Today's Small Harvets
Yes. I usually rinse, damp dry and store in an open ziplock in the frig. But, I also have 3 bags in the freezer for longer storage, unwashed because I will eat them within a couple months. Others blanch, dip in ice water, drain well and then freeze for longer storage.
