Hey, transplanted a Orange Blaze sweet pepper plant today. I had hardened it off for a few weeks after buying it at a local nursery. All was okay until I transplanted. Within a few hours the leaves started to droop. I used Coast of Maine, Bar Harbon Blend potting soil. Since the soil well amended, I didn't fertilize or add Epsom salt under the root ball (found out about the Epsom after I transplanted).

I don't have any experience with peppers, so I'm not sure if I shocked it and should proceed with usual watering schedule etc. I bought a few of these peppers at a farmer's market last year and I am looking forward to that sweet yumminess!

Water it well and give it a few days to recover. It's just transplant shock and all will be well! okay

Don't fertilize too much when you transplant anyway, especially with nitrogen. Let the plant get established a bit first. If it suddenly puts out a lot of green growth before it's well established, it can become more susceptible to insects and disease.

Thanks for the feedback SFG peeps. Looked outside this morning and pepper plant had perked right up! It really is tough to be patient sometimes. I'll have to just get over that!
