Need ideas for walkway around beds
Hi! I have two 4x4 beds and am trying to put in a simple walkway around them. They are in a grassy area right now and when the lawn guys come cut the grass, my beds are getting covered with grass, which of course, turns into weeds!! I'm hoping a 12" border around the beds might give enough space to reduce the amount of weeds I'm dealing with.
What suggestions do you have for materials that are simple and cost effective? Do I lay down bricks the long way to make a border? Use pavers? I'd rather not spend time leveling with sand and all.
I'd appreciate any input, ideas, photos, instructions, etc!! Thanks!
Jill

I get shingles for just 5 dollars at my local ReStore through Habitat for Humanity. It's the same size bag and number of shingles you would buy at Home Depot for example. Just posted a picture in this thread if you want to take a look

My husband can zip right over them with the riding mower, I have a reel push mower that goes right over it too.
