First harvest
I had my first harvest on Wednesday (not counting some chives previously) spinach and three varieties of leaf lettuce. Yum!

The first home grown lettuce is a joy! Especially after a winter of store bought!

You're right Herblover! We can back off on store bought veggies once again, Yay.
Today, part of breakfast was red romaine, forellenshluss, and Little Gem(from ray praxxus) lettuce, two kinds of spinach along with 7 strawberries. Plus one lettuce leaf went to Daisy my senior aged cat.

Re: First harvest
Thanks! It was delicious. I used to not grow any cool weather crops and it seemed forever to harvest time. I LOVE doing them now because I've been working on my garden since March since I start them by seed. So fun to start getting things so early.

Nice! It's hardly possible to have too much lettuce, I find.

Bloomsdale Long-standing from Baker Creek. It's very crisp, really nice leaves.
