introduce yourself
Ok, I'm not sure if I am on the right place to post this. I live in the midwest, central Illinois to be exact. I have done square foot gardening for many years and this year I have expanded my garden to 6 squares like we used to have at our former home. We had to build it on a hillside. My husband did a good job figuring out how to do it, though he really didn't make my paths as large as they should be, but I really can't complain because he did a lot of work.
We are having some really crazy weather here, 91 degrees one day and 45 the next. It is supposed to get down to 34 tonight
. I may cover some things, but my garden is in a rather protected area, so we shall see.

Welcome!
I have seen women looking at jewelry ads with a misty eye and one hand resting on the heart, and I only know what they're feeling because that's how I read the seed catalogs in January - Barbara Kingsolver - Animal, Vegetable, Miracle

no frost!!
Well, we survived the night. We did cover everything, but the temperatures did not get quite as low as we thought. My husband is already outside working, so I guess it is time for me to get started. Reportedly, warmer weather is on its way in a few days! I have more planting to do.

WELCOME Kcamp3
WOW that is pretty weird weather. I was feeling pretty smug here that there was NO way that we could get a frost now... I guess you never say never.
