Canada: what are you doing in the garden this month Empty Canada: what are you doing in the garden this month

Post  GWN 5/10/2014, 11:56 am

Hi everyone
I am in zone 5a and I am pretty much at the end of FROST.   Pretty unlikely now.
I planted my peas as soon as the ground was workable about a month ago and they are about 5 inches high
Also planted my potatoes then, and they are finally showing themselves.
I have all my tomato plants and pepper plants safely in the hoop house keeping warm for another few weeks.
Raspberries and strawberries are just now beginning to flower, and we are eating Rhubarb from the garden.
I had some cilantro and spinach I planted in cold frame last fall and we are enjoying cilantro pesto now.
WHAT ARE you doing now? sunny

I believe we are past our last frost date now.   SO I have cautiously planted one of my tomato plants outside, (with a cloche over it)
Planted beets yesterday. Tulips are finally flowering, it must be spring
