Re: FINALLY! Pictures of the garden
Something like that could be done with layered spreadsheets in MS Excel. Have the cell values for the first page transferred to subsequent pages in a new position every year. On the second year, you flip to the second page, etc.
For example make the value of cell A1 "Tomatoes." Then pull that down from the first page into the second page so that now it is A2= Tomatoes, and then in the third sheet so that A3= Tomatoes, 4th page so that A4 = Tomatoes, etc. Just flip through to the next page every year. After four years, start back again at page 1.
That could either be done manually with a heck of a lot of typing or by making the cells in each subsequent page reach back to previous pages for their values, irrespective of what the values are.

Re: FINALLY! Pictures of the garden
I actually have an Excel spreadsheet with info on everything I'm planting. But not quite like that. Sounds like I need to play some more... I think that's a great idea.

BTW - I love your tagline... Ain't it the truth?
Gwennifer - thanks! me too.
Thanks Marc. Thought about that on the way to HD. We DID pick up a few more tomatoes, but they won't replace all we lost. So I think I'm okay. Plus I'll have those new beds next year...!
Thank you, AM! I knew a gal from the South would understand.

AtlantaMarie wrote:Mike showed me how to resize my pix this morning. So we are proud to introduce you to our garden!
The garden is a 25' x 35' space in the NW corner of our back yard, facing east. This is from the gate. North is to the left.
This is from the NE corner. My 6'x8' shed and our irrigation system.
This is from the NW corner. Peaches, pears, apples in the background.
And from the SW corner - I have 35' of trellis space.
This is our irrigation system. We have two 330-gallon containers we bought from a guy on Craigslist. He even delivered them! We have them hooked into 2 small gutters. And we're very surprised at how quickly we've filled them up with just a couple of rain days.
Next year we will fill in the middle with more boxes. Currently, we have 180 squares to plant in. The middle boxes will be 4'x14 or 15'. So that will double our planting area. One bed will be perennials.
Any chance of an update? I'd love to see what all this looks like now. Hmmm -- wheels turning --

"Why don't we schedule an "event" for May 1 and everyone update their "showcase" photos? All of our gardens should be at their best around then."
I expect my garden will still have some snow on it at that time.

Ok AM. That picture is 5 years old. What does it look like now. I know there is a finished or partial built greenhouse somewhere.
