Carrot harvest today: Parisene and Danver
Parisene...
Danver... but most of my Danvers turned out typical in carrot shape. Do you ever get weird shaped carrots like this?

Re: Carrot harvest today: Parisene and Danver
I ate my first Parisiene a week ago. It was only 2" around but it had the sweetest taste. I sowed those in October. When did you sow yours? My Danvers were sowed in Feb but the greens are looking healthy.
Congrats on those beauties.
PS How is the tree doing?

Both my dad and Hubby's dad have had interesting results with Danvers - planted in different states, and in different years!
Love your harvest!
And to echo Sanderson, how is the tree?

I sowed both varieties in late September just after getting the boxes built and filled.sanderson wrote:I ate my first Parisiene a week ago. It was only 2" around but it had the sweetest taste. I sowed those in October. When did you sow yours?

papaya tree
The papaya tree is recovering beautifully! I'll have to get a photo today. Still no buds, but the leaves are growing well. I still have her in a pot, and may keep her there for a while. Thanks for asking.

Those Parisiene's are adorable! I'll have to look for some seed...
Have Danvers 126, Touchon, & Little Fingers in the ground. Still waiting to see sprouts.
Dstack - you have a papaya tree?? I'm so jealous!

Gorgeous
dstack,
I have some Danvers seeds in my carrot collection. I love how yours look; how nice and large they got! I might sow a few!
My last batch of carrots ts had some unique shapes. I didn't take a picture (wish I had), but one looked like ginger (in the shape of a man's legs).
Nice job!
