Hello from Northern Virginia!
Greetings everyone,
I'm Megan and I live in Manassas, Virginia, a bit west of D.C. I grew up on a farm in New Hampshire (think 'free child labor'.) Since then, I've puttered with herbs/flowers and the occasional tomato or squash plant, but I've never had a real veggie garden.
A co-worker started SFG last year and had great results. This year I'm trying it, and I couldn't be more excited!!! I've got two beds (9'x3' and 8'x4') set up and mostly planted. It is probably far too ambitious, but I will be absolutely ecstatic if even a quarter of it produces. Or even sprouts? I'm trying to set up a blog to keep track of everything, though I'm even newer to blogging than to gardening.
So very happy to have found this forum. Happy gardening and happy Spring to you all!

Hi Megan,
Welcome to SFG and the Forum. Please post some pics of your garden once you get it set up. We love to see what others are doing. And check out this thread and post your blog address - https://squarefoot.forumotion.com/showcase-of-gardens-f6/anyone-else-blogging-t353.htm?highlight=blogging
Best of luck with your SFG!

Megan:
So glad to have you here. Your gardens sound very wonderful and I think they are the perfect size for a new SFG'er to work with. Big enough to see great results and to learn from, but, not to big so as to be a burden.
God Bless and
Ward.

Re: Hello from Northern Virginia!
Thank you both very much for the warm welcome.
I hope I have my blog link posted correctly where you said it should go, but, in case I did it wrong, here it is:
