I didn't grow up here but I've lived here 35 years and this has never happened before.  I appreciate unique silly stuff.  This was right up my alley!

all but 9 of my 40 years have been in Columbus, and when these hit the news it was a first for me, and I remember the blizzards in the 70s here and 90s here and in NW Ohio.
