Hello from the Gulf Coast of TX
I'm so very new to square foot gardening that I've yet to actually plant my first crop; but I'm very intent on doing it well this spring. Well, okay.. with some success.

Laukie, Welcome to the Forum!
How far into gardening are you? Do you have the All New Square Foot Gardening book? Have you built your boxes? Made the Mel's Mix? After you plant the first seedling, you will be hooked! For right now, you can go to your local store (Home Depot, Lumberjack, etc.] and buy a couple of pony packs of flowers that do good in the winter: pansies, snapdragons, dianthus. Something to look at while you plan what you will be planting in the spring.
If you have questions, don't hesitate to ask them on this Forum. Post photos. It's a little slow at this time of the year, but folks are glad to help you.

Re: Hello from the Gulf Coast of TX
So far my gardening experience doesn't go much farther than Aerogardens or container gardening. I've grown beans successfully and am currently enjoying the benefits of Mesculin and microgreens all in porch containers. I'm looking forward to planting my first ever raised garden this spring with carrots, cukes and I'm not sure what else. I've got a decent variety of seeds from turnips to broccoli raab as well as some tomato and jalapeno seeds. Only time will tell?
