Camp, I'm making "plain" ole vanilla...the old-fashioned way...with real vanilla beans, egg yolks that have to be tempered just-so, milk/cream that has to be hot but not simmering, etc. It's just about chilled enough by now to put in the ice-cream machine but I'm getting tired, so I think I'll let it sit in the fridge overnight and run the machine tomorrow. I've got somewhat over 1.5 gallons of liquid, so it should make 3 gallons of frozen. It's for DH. I can't eat ice-cream. It makes me sneeze. More's the pity because I looooove the stuff.
