Gone 3 Days, Return to 1st Surprise SFG Cucumber!
My first harvest of the year! We were only gone 3 days and returned to find a good size Heirloom Pickling Cucumber.

To borrow a phrase, "A watched cucumber doesn't grow." It seems like when I have to go out of town for 48 hours, all kinds of things happen. Happy for you.

She's a beauty, congratulations. We've been enjoying cucmber salad about every other day. Little mayo, apple cider vinegar, Lawry's seasoned salt, and dill. Marinate for a couple hours and delish!

Try finely chopped cucumber marinated in yogurt, dill and garlic. Salt to taste.

sanderson, thank you and I think you are right. Before I left, all I saw were tiny buds.
llama momma, thanks and that sounds like a great recipe. I love Lowerys, and will try that.
walshevak, that also sounds delicious. I sure appreciate different ideas for these cukes, since it looks like there are many more that will be ready in the coming days.
Triciasgarden, thank you very much.
I cubed this 1st one up, with tomatoes and a bit of onion, and added a little Italian dressing. It was delicious. My husband and grandaughter had a few cubes raw, and loved it.
