Re: Apr 25 -- Take Pictures Today
How 'bout one of me choking the life out of those stupid birds digging around in my little blueberry bushes! If I catch one.........
I didn't even think about protecting my blueberries until "later"....I mean, they're pretty small right now, just starting to pop little white flowers. I guess I thought that the birds would wait until they saw big, juicy berries.....guess not.
So anyway - they're in big continers (2, 18" and 1, 20" pot) and I'm not sure how to protect them with netting. I'll post this in "Outside the Box" since I'm just ranting.......but really, if I catch one!!!!!!

Re: Apr 25 -- Take Pictures Today
New2this, how about a picture of those berry bushes lightly covered with/wrapped in cheesecloth?
I have everything covered! Not only birds, but squirrels and chipmonks just love my SFGs. Until the squares get covered with leaves these buggers just keep digging! So I have lightweight screening over one box. A small 1' square of screen over my peas and an old plastic tablecloth over the empty squares. I think there's some pictures in my album in the gallery.
Happy hunting!!!
