Back in the kitchen canning...... AGAIN
When I planned and planted my garden this Spring, I intended that this year would be experimental and I would only grow enough to eat at the table. BIG miscalculation on my part, so I had to crash course canning.
Now that the garden is slowing down, there are still several things I would like to learn to can, Kosher dill pickles were one of those on my list, but I had no cucumbers left on my vine. Off to the local farmer's market we went yesterday afternoon where I knew I could get fresh and organic and support our local farmers as well. I found some beautiful cucumbers that looked just right for the project and they were only 3 for $1. While there I spotted some fresh picked peaches..... (I love peaches) and living in GA, the season is NOW.
Started out working on some peach/cinnamon jam:
A quick clean up of the kitchen and then straight on to the cucumbers without a break.
I am starting to feel like a squirrel hoarding for the winter.
Tired, but content for the moment.

I think I'll quit gardening and simply offer to buy all your extra canned stuff. You are doing one fantastic job. I got it, Your canned goods for my llama beans!

Sounds really good and next time I run into some nice peaches, I may have to try some with peppers.

Hmmmm... My mom loves peach salsa... Sounds similar. Could you post your recipe Windsor?
And, yes, Bob, would love to see your cinnamon peach recipe as well!
