I found a blue (seed) potato, still in the white paper bag, that I bought at the "right time" for planting potatoes--in fact, I did plant others, but I guess I forgot about that one. Is it still possible to plant it, and expect to harvest any potatoes before the 9th/12th/15th of October (my first frost date estimates)?

If it's an early- or mid-season potato, yes, I agree with Camp. Go for it!

I think the blues are all early (short) season, could be wrong about that though. thinking

Okay, thanks all!
Looks like I've got some 'tater plantin' to do tomorrow (guess I'd better get an early start, the weather report is for a week-long heat wave --  one radio station said maybe triple digits Tuesday!).
I'm not sure thinking how I'm gonna do it; I'm thinking of trying a bag this time, considering I've had a worn out reusable grocery bag waiting for me to find a use for it, and that'll make it portable, if it gets too cool even earlier than I expect. Hard to think of that now, with all that sunny coming up!
