My herb bed is looking AWFUL.  Its been overrun with weeds and since its been raining so much in Ohio I havent had a chance to garden.  Anyway, does anybody know what this is?  It had blue/ purplish flowers on it.  I think its a weed, but didnt want to take it out without being sure.

I planted cumin, lavender, oregano, and sage.

Wandering Jew also makes a beautiful trailing houseplant.  Pot up some and hang it in a corner!

Don't go looking for the once ubiquitous macrame hangers these days. For reasons known only to the Cosmos, I decided I wanted to put plants in macrame hangers this spring and found that I needed a time machine. Laughing

You can find instructions and a limited supply of materials on eBay. No instruction books at all at Michael's or Joann's Fabrics and hardly anything in the library! If someone has an old stash they want to freecycle, I'll pay for shipping.

Maria - It may take me some time to find the instructions, but I do have a few booklets (from the '70's) that I would be willing to send you.  PM your address to me and I will gladly send them to you.

http://www.free-macrame-patterns.com/basic-plant-hanger.html

I made one in my earlier days but the cord was too scratchy to make any more. Found this and several more web sites for making plant hangers.  Larks head knot for the ring, square knots for the rest.  I never got fancy!  I think I used a piece of Styrofoam ??? or was it the carpet floor ??? blush to which I secured the ring.
