One of my two beds is looking pretty sad; lotsa brown leaves. I don't dare use the "B" word, but it has been really rainy and humid. Some of those plants look like they need a shot of Lucy's "Vitameatavegimin" or something. Smile

I did pick one of the three Yellow Pear tomatoes, but the system won't let me show the picture of it, just keeps copying the one above.

A small Big Beef, a couple Husky Cherries and some Yellow Cherries.

I'm totally blown away by this!  Cucs, peppers AND beans.  I have none of those yet.
Well done!

Is that spinach in the little bowl?

Thanks CC, It's Broccoli, but it got steamed before I could get the photo taken. I was lucky the tomato made it in the picture. There was a wrestling match to keep it from being eaten right away!

Can you see 'em?  Tiny little things, but the furthest along, I think, of all 24 varieties I planted.  Good thing, too, because *something* is bound to produce even in these torrents of rain we've been getting.  The other plants are in varying degrees of even smaller fruit or just flowers or even just flower buds.

The variety pictured is 'Uralskiy Ranniy' which translates to "early from Ural"...well named.

They all seem to be doing pretty good so far.  We've already removed two huge hormworm caterpillars, and keeping an eye out for others.

Enjoyed 1st. "sugar lump" mater yesterday, & it was true Very Happy info: "Sugar Lump Tomato is an exceptionally sweet German heirloom variety that features heavy yields until frost. Smooth, sweet red fruits in clusters. Fruits average 1 inch in diameter. 72 days. Indeterminate." - These 2 plants are in the same bed with
2 "Sweet Millions" plants & I asked them: Are you 2 busy making a million cheers maters?, lol They sure have a lot of blossoms... Smile

That seems to be the only section of leaves that look like that, so I took them off. The stems are not affected at all but I'll keep an eye on them.

These are my firsts of the season, a tiny Black Krim and a bigger but pretty badly cracked Cherokee Purple.

I picked them a bit early out of excitement, and in consideration of the weather.

The Black Krim tomato was on that plant forever! Then one day it picked up some color, so random. The Cherokee Purple I've been watching get nice and big with its brother on that stem. I pulled in the brother the other day and it was pretty cracked up too, but I got a few good slices off it and they were SOO GOOD!

Thankfully, I can see a few new fruits that set during our break in the heat, so I am hopeful. I really think I'm not going to see really riotous production until fall though.

The Black Krim came in at 1.7oz, the Cherokee Purple at 11.7oz

Thanks. Honestly though, I was expecting a lot more production (vaguely), and a lot better fruit (specifically).

I'm gonna chill and be patient though - Fall may be where I really nail it.
