Re: My Kentucky SFG - 2013
One more update on my SFG.
Madge
I did get a couple of carrots on Sept 7th, one was good size. I do have more in the garden.
My Golden Bantam corn did pretty good, I got about 15 ears. A few were not filled out good, so I guess they were not pollinated. But most were beautiful, like this one from Sept 15th.
My giant Tommy Toe Tomato plants are by far the best producing thing in my garden. Here is another picking of 249 tomatoes on Sept 20th. And my first Brandywine.
And another 170 on Sept 24th. I am dehydrating most of these, and sharing with my kids and neighbors.
Finally on Sept 24th, I got my first load of pea gravel. I have wanted to get these all summer, but finances went into the food part 1st. But now I love how the gravel looks. Hope to get some more soon.

southern gardener, thank you. My little 3 year old grandaughter loves the gravel also. She has already brought inside 8 "pet rocks".southern gardener wrote:beautiful unit!! we have gravel also, and love it! drains well, not dirty even in rain, wheel barrow rolls over it easily.
