something pretty
I had a small garden next to the house that I would put odds and ends in. Swiss chard did great there, but them, i'm thinking it probably does great anywhere.
But this year, I put in four rose bushes. A yellow (my mom and grandmothers favorite) A white, a pink and a red.
That is my third rose and ohhhh the fragrance....intoxicating

very pretty!....love the smell of roses we have a few growing too....this year we are growing some garlic in with the roses....so far the garlic is doing well and we have read it helps keep the aphids away....onion & garlic are good companions with roses...

That is good to know. I DO know that they can be a pain in the you know what. When they first started growing I was getting tiny tiny pin holes in my first rose and the leaves. Looked it up and it might have been a flea beetle. Bought some neem oil and have been spraying with that. Sprayed some aphids with it a couple days later also and haven't seen them on again, but I do like knowing more organic ways to keep the bugs away. Keep me posted on how you think it works during the season. Love your name, I chose Rose for my confirmation name also.
