I agree that this is a nifty layout. However, one needs 3' aisles. These do not appear to be more than 2', if that.

I suppose its neat enough if its only going to be used for short plants..... like lettuce. I can't imagine how they would tame plants that like to spread out.

That isle looks to be 18 inches at most.

My aisles are only big enough to get the lawn mower through, I think about 26", maybe a bit more.

Good points about the size of the aisle... but I'd still make this if I could - maybe bigger so that the space in the middle could be bigger, and making sure to have a good wide border all around it. I think it's a great use of space.

As to aisle size, it was quite a squeeze when I had only 21 1/2" between beds.
