cold frame conversion to SFG
This cold frame was finished fall 2012, I'm in the process now of converting the entire area to SFG
Will add more images as this advances, in the meantime, I'd sure enjoy any constructive comments.
Finished this last fall...below

digging out for Mel's Mix...below

Ready for weed barrier...below...I'll be able to raise siding as plants need height.
Adjustable side panels with row covering will protect plants within.

Re: cold frame conversion to SFG
It's lookin' good, Jimmy. I'll be interested to see how you raise the sides to get more height. It's the pits when the plants need more height, but the weather demands keeping the top closed.

Boffer
Notice the 4 pieces of angle iron sitting on each side of the frame.
I was going to trim these off when I built the raised beds about 10 years ago.
I decided not to and I am so happy I didn't
Everything I'm putting together is attached to them, sledged 4 feet down they'll never come out.
On the SFG bed next to this, I am going to tie 1" plastic pipe across each side, then work from there to set up row covers, this will help with those dad-burned cucumber beetles
