small, but tall moveable squares?

I have acquired two squares, single individual squares, free standing, probably 6 or 8 inches square that are made of cedar--sides nailed together. They are a foot or a foot and half foot tall. They are now standing outside of my next to my tiny, but regular height 1X2 foot box. I have peppers in the two squares in the tiny 1X2. What vegies should I use these taller two moveable boxes for?

Depends on what veggies you like. Potatoes, carrots like a deep box. Even a tomato plant if you could put by a fence or rig a trellis for it to grow on.

Use them for root crops like carrots or potatoes.

Why don't you find the thread about How Many Squares do you have?
It is where we all boast about the number of squares we have accumulated. I think you would have the honour of being the bottom of the list. I reckon you have a total of a little under 3 square feet. rofl

In any case, I fully expect you to rapidly climb the ladder once you really get the bug of SFG. Best of luck. Very Happy

I thought I made a couple of posts with pictures last year. Guess not. The 1X2 is my little one. I have a 4X4, and a 2X3. Grand total of 24 squares and They are filling up the only good sunny, south spots in the small area between my house and the driveway. I also have some containers on a porch. Now I add these two skinny tall ones.

I am considering a tomato set of squares a 2X8 in an area that gets maybe 6 hours of good sun and maybe 2 more hours of filtered sun a day. Do you think that is enough for tomatoes?

It should be enough. My son grew tomatos in early morning sun and afternoon filtered shade last year and actually got fruit during the really hot months. We figger the shade kept the plants cooler. First time he has been able to keep tomatos going all summer.
