Where do you put your composter?

Hi everyone. My wife bought me a compost cage as a gift:

Where would be the best place to put it? I have sunny and shady locations on a concrete slab on on just plain old ground.

All you composting mavens, let me know your thoughts?

Directly on the ground so the worms can come up into the pile to help break down the compost. I was told to put my compost bin where it received shade in the summer and sun in the winter. I put it under an oak tree that shed its leaves in the winter. that worked real well except the roots from the tree liked the compost pile. So I quickly moved it away from the tree so it now gets afternoon shade in the summer and full sun in the winter.
