Vermiculite...What do you think?

I am trying to find the coarse vermiculite and when I checked the database here it says that the Menards at my location carries it in the insulation dept. I called them and they have this available: Vermiculite...What do you think? 1611650

But he could not tell me if it was coarse. He said he has held it in his hand and it is about the size of rolled oats. What do you think? Should I keep looking?

That's what I put in my first beds last year and it worked great. Picked up 3 more bags for the new beds this year. I don't know if it's coarse, it seems to have some smaller and some larger pieces if I remember correctly.

Yeah, it's a pretty small town - pop. 3,000. We're 25 mi. southwest of Crown Point/Merrillville area, if you've heard of either of those and my hubby works in Gary.
