Shade or bug netting recommended? Empty Shade or bug netting recommended?

Post  Tris Wed Apr 10, 2013 8:40 am

So my lovely boxes are growing quite well, I have plastic set up for the cold weather, but it's supposed to get to 90 degrees today!! I'm not used to coastal southern weather so I figured I'd ask the locals Smile
Do I need to set up shade cloth for them? Some burlap clipped over the hoops maybe? And is tulle a necessity to keep birds and bugs away or is that something you deal with as you go?
