Kaoilin Clay...(surround) protection
For those having problems with pests, hot sun, etc.
Look into Kaolin Spray (surround)
An organic protector that seems to work for me.
I'll know more about it after this season's over
Once it's on it looks like snow is covering the plant, perfectly harmless, but keeps the bugs away.
Rain removes it..

Not sure about the deer, I have fences up for them, however a white coating encompasses the entire plant so I bet it will also work for deer...

Be careful and use as the label instructs. I would not want to add a lot of clay to my beds.

The fence I have around my garden cost me very little.
Permission from local land owner to trim some of his weeded wood area.
Used Post's from the local electrical utility co.
Small trunks and branches to make up the barrier.
Some good work to put it all together
A very rustic appearance, even around my wife's flowers, she loves it
and that's saying something...
