Remove flowers before putting transplants in ground?
New here. 2nd question. clicked on a weblink here to Farmer's Almanac help for new gardeners...whoa! I won't be getting too much into using moon cycles to guide my gardening. It's enough that I have had to build raised garden beds to bring in decent dirt (there is rock and nasty caliche in the native ground) and that I have to deal with temperamental Texas weather. Seems like there are only 2 decent months of weather to deal with . April and November. Everything else is a struggle!
Okay.....saw some mention on Farmer's Almanac to remove all flowers from transplants before putting them in the ground so that they concentrate their energy on growing. Does anyone here also do that.??? I have a short growing seasoning to deal with before 95+ degree heat comes in late May.
I put 4 tomato plants and 5 or so pepper plants in the ground a few days ago that I grew from seeds indoors. They all had flowers in them. Breaks my heart to hurt the plant by removing the flowers but will do so if it is what successful gardeners do.
Please advise.

Yes, even though it is painful, your plants will benefit from removing the flowers from your transplants. It will not set the plant back at all. If the plant build a strong root system it will make the plant stronger and will give you more fruit!
