Done and hoops are up!
Finished the Mel Mix and did the second bed. Got the hoops up with alot of help from fellow sfg'ers. Gonna make it pretty with mulch and containers around it (got that idea from a fellow sfg'er too ). Still too early here to start planting, but I wanted to warm the soil for the peas that are going in next week if we keep getting warm/sunny days. It still gets below freezing at night.

Looks great! That's exactly how I had the hoops on my 4x4s. The mulch and flowers in containers make a big difference in appearance (and the flowers attract pollinators). Keep us posted on your progress!

I agree, pots of flowers here and there around the garden are terrific, especially if they are edibles like pansies, nasturtiums, calendula and the like and marigolds to deter pests.
I like to put a brick diagonally on the corner of a bed and place a pot on top. Its very secure that way and doesn't take up room inside the bed which I reserve for food crops.
This pot of pansies sits on brick.
