newest addtion to our SFGs
Someone else had one and I just had to have one too...I already had everything to make it so I couldn't resist making it.
A little SFG pond.
We have a 7 x 15 foot pond too for our Koi fish, but I like this little one too.

Beautiful!
Beautiful pond! I wish we could have one but our dogs already drink out of the bird bath, I can only guess what they'd do with a pond!

Re: newest addtion to our SFGs
Thanks everyone!
It is in a 3 x 4-6 inch deep box. But could be whatever size you want it to be.
I had the little pond form already, and my husband had built the 3 x 4 box, and I was just looking it all over and found that the little pond form fit in the 3 x4 box and then it happened...a SFG pond!
The pond form is deeper than 6 inches, I just dug out what I needed to to make it level with the box. I already had the plants in my flower garden, and I had the water pump, so it took me about 1 1/2 hours to make it.
My husband said I've got to stop...but I have just one more idea left for this year...

Wonderful. And I'm a bit jealous. I've always had a garden pond, but with this move there's just so much other outdoor things to do that the pond will have to wait. But in the meantime I'll vicariously enjoy yours and Tim's.

Re: newest addtion to our SFGs
Wait till I show my husband !!! We want a pond so bad here llolololol. Last year in my old garden area this precious man dug a pond by hand(not a huge pond). Here in Mississippi it seems everyone has a pond we can do this. The thing never held the water and a bummer. And I really would like the pond in my garden where I sit and enjoy life. This is the best idea !! Kudos !!

beautiful
my daughter keeps insisting we need a pond. That is the best looking pond I've seen and we may just have to build one next year.

Re: newest addtion to our SFGs
I've got a "raised bed pond" between my two long SFGs as well. The sound of running water just adds to the whole gardening experience. And if you see a square that could use a quick drink of water it's so nice to be able to get a little pond water. The plants love it. Fish poo is good fertilizer.

Re: newest addtion to our SFGs
That is sooo beautiful! I hope mine turns out as lovely. Right now I just have the water spray thingie that came with the pond kit Some where I have a kitty that sprays water out of it back when you put a hose up its***. I want to make a wooden lily pad and sit the kitty on it so it looks like a brass(i think) kitty sleeping on the pad in the middle of the pond, When it gets warmer I may try to put some cheap feeder gold fish in the pond. I am sorry new computer! I took pics now husband has to down load and e-mail to me so I can post. Its the long way around a cable communication defict issue.

Now this is REALLY something! I just told my hubby about this idea and he kinda rolled his eyes at me...
