Just wanted to say hi from Colorado. I have never gardened out here, so this could get interesting I love you . I have back in Illinois, and North Florida. Easier there I believe.

WELCOME to SFG.

I have gardened in many areas before and while every area has its advantages, each also has its disadvantages.
I think you will find if you follow along with other gardeners here that every area has its easy parts and hard parts.
Do you have good soil?

Hi Glenco12! Welcome ! My neice recently moved to Colorado and loves it! She is in Durango. Not sure how close that might be to you! Have you ever read any books by the Nearings? Helen and Scott. They gardened in the worst of weather and did real well at it! I bet you can to!
Good Luck, read alot of topics on this forum and you will find plenty of help here!

I'm just up north of you in the Loveland/Ft Collins area. While we do have a bit shorter growing season, and a dry, arid climate with many micro climates. You can garden here with great success.
Make sure and visit our regional forum for the Western Mountains and High Plains region. There are lots of great tips, including planting times and frost dates. Welcome!
