Hi from Ohio
Hi everyone I'm Brian from ne Ohio. I just started as a SFGer. I wanted to start growing some of my own food for health and cost purposes. My parents and grandparents were traditional gardeners but I just couldn't get into the huge space and lots of extra work tilling and weeding. SFG seems like a good way to attain all of my gardening goals.

Hello Brian and welcome from Amanda, I am southeast of Columbus, Ohio. You've come to a good place to hang out, lots of information here. Hope you have the All New Square Foot Gardening book. The book alone will get you off to a great start. There is a lot of helpful people here, and you can look up topics in the white search box, above and to the left.

I actually have the e-book version on my smart phone so I have it all the time. I started reading up on raised bed gardening and stumbled onto SFG and mels book. I had the whole thing read in about 2 days( the first time) and use it almost daily in planning for the spring. Hopefully all my reading pays off with a nice crop.

I found sfg by accident too while reading up on raised bed gardening. Read the book fast during mid summer a few yrs back and began with a vibrant fall garden. Then I stumbled upon the forum.broberts0518 wrote:I actually have the e-book version on my smart phone so I have it all the time. Welcome to the forum. Lots of helpful folks here to answer questions. This method is such a fun way to begin and then each year brings new plans that are such fun. I look forward to spring each year with a new plan just so I can rotate my crops.
Enjoy the thrill of growing your own. And the flavors......mmmmm good.
