Gro Veg Garden Planner?
Has anyone ever used the garden planner from GroVeg.com (http://www.growveg.com/freetrial.aspx)? It's an on-line, $25 per/year deal. I was wondering how it compared to the free kitchen garden planner at Gardeners Supply (http://www.gardeners.com/Kitchen-Garden-Planner/kgp_home,default,pg.html).
Thoughts?

Re: Gro Veg Garden Planner?
I played with it a little awhile back but personally I like the free one at Gardner's Supply better for my simple beds.
Re: Gro Veg Garden Planner?
I just took a look at it. I think I'd like to try the 30-day free trial. I'm going to wait until next week when I should have more time to play with it.
I used the Gardeners Supply one while planning my spring garden. Occasionally their number of plants per square differs from Mel's recommendations. For instance, Cilantro: Mel says one plant per square; GS says four. I really would have expected the opposite since Mel's system is so intensive.
I really like my own system, a picture of which is posted here: https://squarefoot.forumotion.com/seed-exchange-and-growing-info-f29/new-to-gardeningsimple-question-about-planting-t1328.htm#9142
Every new bit of information contributes overall to making better decisions. However, I have a tendency towards analysis-paralysis! I'll post my thoughts on the GrowVeg system.

I tried it and couldn't get it to do anything useful. It wanted to put everything in rows, couldn't fit a single broccoli in 1 square foot for example. It doesn't seem to work with SFG at all from what I could see, though I did give up on it pretty quickly.
I only have a single 4x8 bed so I just wound up doing it old school, I drew up the plan on graph paper.

Graph paper... and the itty bitty 'post-it' notes.... write the name of your crops on the posty and then rearrange to your heart's content!
