Bluebirds playing around
It's always a treat to see my favorite bluebirds out back. Although there were 6 of them I could only catch 4 in the bird bath at the same time and quickly snap a pic through the window. You can see the 5th one on the ground at about 10 o'clock. Number 6 was sitting on a feeder.
Here is another, love these little guys!

We moved into our new house a year ago December from an apartment. This past spring was the last time I saw them, they are sooo pretty! I hope to see them again!

Re: Bluebirds playing around
Three male bluebirds are out back scouting the nest boxes. My bluebird book says the males start scouting around mid Feb. to June. If you enjoy these lovely birds its a good time to put up brand new boxes or clean out the old ones if you have not done so.

We clean ours out at the end of every fall. Love to watch the little fellas, they are so entertaining. One year I cleaned out one of the boxes and found 3 generations of nests, one on top of the other.

Three nests, very interesting. I learned last year when cleaning out nests to toss the contents far away from it or it will draw oh shoot, um snakes, I think..
