fall and winter growing tips
I get the High Mowing Organic Seeds newsletter and this month is devoted to fall/winter growing.
Here is the instructions for Eliot Coleman's double covered low tunnels.
http://www.mofga.org/Default.aspx?tabid=844
and here is the winter hoop house guide with various articles.

I love the pictures of the little helper in this article.

Re: fall and winter growing tips
I like that idea of Eliot's to hoop in fall and early winter and leave it alone til spring. Like him, I too live in Maine.
Once winter arrives, I can't get to my gardens. Too much snow for me to shovel and up a hill and a bit too far for me to get to check on anything that might be growing. Just leaving it alone til early spring and having a crop pop up extra early without any help is a great idea.
Thanks fo the site walshevak. I copied the article and printed it for my Garden Journal Notebook.
