Hello from Culver City!
Hi there,
I'm new to gardening and excited to pursue organic square foot gardening. From my research I think I am zone 10b. Up until now, I've mainly been growing a the few veggie seedlings I pick up from the farmers market and nurturing any tomato volunteers that pop up. I'm going to make an effort towards sewing fall seeds soon. I always welcome any green-thumb advise! - Linh

Re: Hello from Culver City!
Welcome! I am in Pasadena and I had my very first Fall Garden last year by planting cauliflower, chard, kale, leeks, beets, spinach, and onions. They all did well, except for the spinach, it was overwhelmed by the taller plants. Are you making compost?

Welcome to the forum! If you haven't read the book I would highly recommend it! All New Square Foot Gardening by Mel Bartholomew. It is packed with tons of info that will make your new gardening experiences easier, fun and less demanding than a row garden. Less space, less water, less work with 100% of the produce! Have fun with your fall gardening!
