Using blender for kitchen waste ?
Did I see a post somewhere that one person said that she/he used a blender to make a soupy type of stuff out of kitchen waste that they then just pored/sprayed on their plants/soil

Re: Using blender for kitchen waste ?
I've use the blender for kitchen scraps when I want to pulverize the egg shells for the worm bin. I then pour the blender soup on some freshly shredded newspaper to absorb the excess liquid. Seems to work as long as I don't make too much and keep the liquid at a minimum needed to get the blender whirling. I also do this when my garbage can composter needs some wetting down. At that time I can use a bit more water.

okay, are eggshells only good to use, when from Organically-raised chickens; or is it not a concern what might be in shells? - I have 4 dozen shells from regular grocer, & want to avoid any trouble. - Only the best will do for our compost, right?walshevak wrote:I've use the blender for kitchen scraps when I want to pulverize egg shells for the worm bin.
