Hello from Cape Girardeau MO
Hey there,
As you can see by my log on name... I AM a lost cause. We have just moved into a new home and this is my first time trying to grow a vegtable garden. I tried planting flowers at our old house and it was just a sad sight.
I hope SFG will be easier and more rewarding.
I hope to get a chance to pick everyone's brain for some great ideas and tips...

Re: Hello from Cape Girardeau MO
it's a new house, a new day, a new way, and a new beginning. And you can do it! I had all kinds of "firsts" last year, which was my first year SFG'ing. So welcome aboard!

Hey there,
As you can see by my log on name... I AM a (NOT A) lost cause. We have just moved into a new home (HOW EXCITING) and this is my first time trying to grow a vegetable garden (AND I WANT TO GROW EVERYTHING). I tried planting flowers at our old house and it was just a sad sight (BUT WITH MEL'S METHOD I WILL SUCCEED BEYOND ANYTHING THAT I CAN IMAGINE NOW).
I (KNOW THAT) SFG will be easier and more rewarding (WHO CARES WHAT THE SOIL AROUND MY NEW HOUSE IS - I WON'T BE USING IT).
I (HAVE A CHANCE) to pick everyone's brain for (MANY) great ideas and tips...
Welcome NOT A lost cause:
We are glad to have you on the forum. All new gardeners bring the most interesting questions to the forum for us to ponder over. I hope you do not mind me rewording your post a bit. The difference between a successful gardener and one that is not so successful is a little education. So here is the place to ask questions and get answers.
Again Welcome and God Bless, Ward.
