I made 5 pints of dilly beans tonight for the first time and never heard the lids pop. I jst started canning this year so am quite the newbie canner... What do I do with them?

I am adding that it has been a few hours and all the lids look to be sucked down.

What happens when you touch the lids? Can you pop them up and down? That is bad, stick them in the refrigerator, use ASAP.

When you touch them are the lids silent or do they snap down without popping back? If so, they have sealed. Remove the rings and store them. Discard right to the trash if they leak. Do not put them in the compost.

Sometimes they either don't make a sound, or, you were busy and just didn't hear it. I've had mine seal as I pulled out of the canner. Just be sure the lid won't depress after cooling. Then get the cupboards ready.
If per chance 1 does not seal, you should be able to put in frig and use. I sometimes get a seed under lid, when making b & b pickles.
