Re: Video: harvesting heirloom seeds
Thanks for the video. This is the first year I am saving seeds so love to watch and learn! So far I have just marigold and zucchini seeds! Look foward to next spring when I get to plant them and see if I did it correctly!

sounds great! I have a friend who took on harvesting carrot seeds and was successful. That's probably one of the harder ones. My beans did great as I planted some before this video was taken.

Do you save peas the same way as beans? My fall peas are coming in nicely and I would like to save some of those too.

yes its the same.Just keep the peas in the garden as long as possible. If frost threatens, pull whole plant out and dry indoors.

How about hot peppers> Same way as peas?

Saving pepper seeds is even easier. Allow some fruits to stay on the plants until they become fully ripe and start to wrinkle. Remove the seeds from the peppers and spread them out to dry.
